Paring Knife
A small knife with a short, straight (sometimes slightly curved) blade, typically 3–4 inches long. It’s perfect for precision tasks: peeling fruits and vegetables, deveining shrimp, trimming fat, or slicing small garnishes. Because of its size, you hold it close to the blade for maximum control when doing intricate work—think coring an apple or segmenting citrus.
